1. Service

daemons.run lets users provision servers in their own cloud accounts and run coding-agent environments ("daemons") on them. The provider is Tecsteps GmbH, Breitscheidstr. 42, 16321 Bernau bei Berlin, Germany, represented by Fabian Wesner, registered at Amtsgericht Frankfurt (Oder), HRB 18540, VAT ID DE341723281 (identity as stated in the Imprint).

2. Accounts

Sign-in is via GitHub (later Google). One person per account. You must be entitled to use the connected cloud account.

3. Your infrastructure, your costs

Servers are purchased through the user's own cloud (Hetzner) credentials. The cloud provider bills the user directly. daemons.run adds no markup and is not a party to that contract.

4. Fees

Free for every server running up to 4 daemons. €5/month per server running more than 4 daemons, billed via Stripe once billing launches. Cancel anytime, effective end of billing period. A server's daemon count is daemons existing on it (running, idle, or stopped); destroyed daemons don't count. The 5th spawn on a server is the upgrade moment.

5. Acceptable use

No illegal content or activity, no abuse of preview domains (phishing or malware), and no attacks on third parties from daemons. We may disable daemons or preview hostnames that violate this.

6. User content and responsibility

Whatever users or their agents build inside daemons is the user's. The user is responsible for what their agents do. YOLO mode is an explicit full-access permission mode.

7. Availability and beta

The service provides development-grade previews and no SLA. It is provided "as is". Liability is limited to the extent German law permits (intent and gross negligence unlimited; cardinal duties capped at foreseeable damage).

8. Open source

The platform code is Apache-2.0. These terms govern the hosted service only. Self-hosted installs have no daemon limits and no €5 fee.

9. Termination

You can destroy everything and delete the account anytime. We may terminate on acceptable-use violation.

10. Changes, governing law, severability

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page. German law applies. If a provision is invalid, the remainder stays in force.

Logs of the hosted service may be processed by Axiom as described in the Privacy Policy. Hetzner remains your infrastructure provider.
